Op. Dr. Burak Olgun

International Patients — Op. Dr. Burak Olgun, Istanbul

Travelling for surgery should feel calm and well prepared, not rushed. If you are considering rhinoplasty in Istanbul, the aim is for everything around the surgery — planning, your days in the city, and the weeks afterward at home — to feel organised and clear from your very first message.

This page explains how care is arranged for patients coming from abroad, so you can picture the whole journey before you decide anything.

Languages spoken

You are welcome to write and speak in English, German, or Turkish. Correspondence before and after your visit is kept clear and personal, so you always know what to expect at each step. Where it is helpful during your appointments, translation support can be arranged in advance.

Begin from home, in your own time

Most of the planning happens before you travel, while you are still at home.

  • A virtual consultation. We begin with an online conversation. You can describe what brings you here, ask your questions, and talk through what a comfortable, natural result would mean for you — a nose that still looks like your own.
  • Send your photos for an initial assessment. With a few clear photographs from a few angles, an initial, no-obligation assessment can be shared with you. This is a first impression to help you understand your options. It is not a diagnosis or a promise of outcome — suitability and results vary from person to person, and final guidance is always given in person, after an examination in Istanbul.
  • A plan shaped around you. Once there is a clear picture, your visit can be planned around your goals, your travel, and your time.

Planning before you travel

When you are ready to move forward, the practical side is mapped out clearly in advance:

  • The likely length of your stay, so you can plan flights and accommodation with confidence.
  • Which days are for assessment, surgery, and review.
  • What to prepare beforehand, and what to bring.
  • How aftercare will continue once you are home.

Nothing is booked in haste. You decide each step in your own time.

Your days in Istanbul

A typical visit is calm and unhurried. Appointments are scheduled with generous time, so every question can be answered without pressure.

  1. Arrival and in-person assessment. Your examination in Istanbul confirms what is suitable for you. This is where final guidance is given, and where the plan is agreed together.
  2. Surgery. Where appropriate, preservation and ultrasonic (piezo) techniques are used, with the intention of protecting healthy structure and supporting a calmer recovery.
  3. Early review before you leave. You are seen again before you travel home, so you depart with clear instructions and the reassurance of having been checked in person.

The clinic is in Bahçelievler, Istanbul, with convenient access for visitors arriving from across the city and from abroad. Clinic hours are 08:00–19:00, seven days a week.

Aftercare from home

Recovery continues well after you return, and you are not left without guidance.

  • Clear written instructions for the days and weeks ahead.
  • A direct line on WhatsApp for questions as they arise.
  • Remote follow-up, where photographs and a conversation help us stay in touch with how your healing is progressing.

Healing takes time and settles gradually. Knowing what is normal at each stage is part of feeling at ease throughout.

A calm first step

When you are ready, a short message on WhatsApp is the simplest way to begin. You can ask anything, share your photos for an initial assessment, and learn how a visit might be arranged.

There is no obligation — only clarity.
